ITI TranscenData Releases CADIQ 6.1

ITI TranscenData announced today the release of CADIQ 6.1, the latest edition of its leading CAD model validation application that identifies model-based design issues that adversely impact downstream processes, such as tooling, simulation and manufacturing.

Engineers tasked with long-term data retention and archival initiatives use CADIQ to certify translations and conversions for 3D CAD models prior to archival, through geometry and semantics-based validation.  CADIQ validates 3D models, assemblies, corresponding features and product manufacturing information (i.e. 3D PMI, GD&T, FT&A) against the source data, and provides automated predictive diagnostics.  These diagnostics are used to identify, forecast and troubleshoot legacy conversion issues. 

CADIQ is packaged for use in desktop or server environments, is easily integrated into design release and check-in and check-out processes of PLM workflows, and can be embedded in interoperability automations solutions.

The release of CADIQ 6.1 offers many new developments, such as:

• Direct Assembly Model Comparison
  No flattening required for CATIA V5, NX, Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks, Parasolid and STEP component placement and properties comparison

• Part Comparison Diagnostics
  Feature parameter diagnostic for model revisions in the same CAD system

• 3D PMI Comparison Diagnostics
  STEP “PMI as Polyline” only for model revisions in the same CAD system

• CATIA V4 CAD File Interface
  For indirect V4 model analysis, No CATIA V4 installation/license prerequisite on Windows and UNIX platforms

• STEP Validation Property Quality Diagnostics

• Improved Batch Analysis and Statistics

"The latest enhancements in CADIQ 6.1 set it apart from all other CAD validation tools on the market," said Doug Cheney, CADIQ Product Manager. “Most tools only verify design reuse for design – enforcing modeling conventions. CADIQ goes a step further, validating MBD models for downstream reuse – at design release and through any format conversion in the lifecycle. ITI TranscenData Releases Proficiency 8.1

ITI TranscenData announced today the release of Proficiency Collaboration Gateway 8.1, the latest edition of its leading Feature Based CAD Interoperability solution for manufacturers and their suppliers. Collaboration Gateway enables the transfer of complete design intelligence between major CAD systems which includes geometry, features, sketches, manufacturing info, metadata, assembly information and drawings in the conversion process.

Collaboration Gateway 8.1 features an enhanced, state-of-the-art Completion Wizard, which operates as a plug-in and tracks and validates any manual changes that a user makes involving portions of the model that could not be automatically exchanged due to CAD incompatibility differences.  From within the CAD system they are using, the user is presented with detailed information about pending issues, and presented options as how to successfully complete the model.  Once an option is selected the model is automatically updated and all changes are documented.

Highlights of the new release include:

• 2D Wizard for CATIA V5
  Allows for easy correction of converted drawings
• Faster Geometry Engine

The new version includes many other automatic data exchange feature support enhancements for I-deas, NX, Pro/E and CATIA V5 as well as more robust Collaboration Gateway Server architecture. Additional enhancements include:

• Collaboration Gateway Agent grouping for optimized file transfer and load balancing
• 3D Text exchange from Pro/E to CATIA V5
• Tri-Tangent Fillet feature export from CATIA V5

• Closed Quilt exchange from Pro/E to NX and CATIA V5
• Dynamic Extrude feature import to NX
• Improved Variable Round export from Pro/E and CATIA V5
• Support  for I-deas models with regeneration problems and non-manifold geometry
• Support for extremely large model exchange from Pro/E to NX
• Improved exchange from higher to lower CATIA V5 Release
